Tomorrow’s Masters Today, curated by Ashish Balram Nagpal, showcases an extraordinary collection of artwork by some of India’s most vibrant, emerging artists. The artworks—paintings and sculptures–range from the modern to traditional Indian ethnic. The featured artists are Baiju Parthan, Chintan Updhyay, Vijay Shelar, Prashant Hirlekar, Nikhil Chaganlal, Gagan Vij, Raghava KK, Manas Kamal Biswas, and Siddharth Choudhary.
An art dealer extraordinaire, since 1990 Ashish has catapulted many artists like Prabhakar Barwe, Baiju Parthan, K K Raghava, Chintan Upadhyay and Jehangir Sabawala into international prominence. The many exhibitions he’s hosted at his Metropolis Art Gallery in Mumbai have been runaway successes, received well by art connoisseurs and collectors. Ashish has the rare gift for spotting rising talent and has been christened “The Art Investment Guru.” He always maintains that, “One has to love art. Art is the ultimate investment. It has the capacity of becoming an heirloom.”
