Home    Spring Cleaning 101

It’s a goal. I set it every year. Bring it 2017, let this year be the first where I actually manage to start… and finish… my Spring cleaning. Which really means spring purging.

First, cleaning. If you are the do-it-yourself kind of person, there’s a great website you should know about – CleanMama. This site has so much useful info on cleaning products (including natural ones), cleaning devices, how to tackle every job, setting up a manageable routine for cleaning and more. I’d love to be that person, but I’m not, so moving on…

If, like me, you’re drowning in clutter, there is hope. You’ve probably heard of The Life Saving Magic of Tidying Up by Mari Kondo. It’s a quick, entertaining read, full of good ideas and info. Yes, some of it is over the top for most of us, but most of it is super helpful, good advice. There’s also an app for that!

And if you’re maxed out on pretty much anything that requires your time or attention, we have a list of cleaners we work with who can come and do a deep clean, including carpets and vents, and others who are fantastic organizers and can work with you, or independently, to bring order to your chaos. We’re happy to put you in touch, just let us know.
